The Espresso
Heavyweight matte crepe column dress in warm mocha
The Espresso exists in the space between day and evening — a dress that reads differently depending on the light. In daylight, the warm mocha fabric has an almost casual ease. Under artificial light, it takes on a depth that is quietly extraordinary.
The silhouette is a long, clean column, with a structure that allows the fabric to move without clinging. This is the dress for a woman who dresses for herself — for the quality of the making rather than the obviousness of the look.
- Heavyweight matte crepe (espresso)
- Fully-lined in silk charmeuse
- Wide-strap construction
- Back side-seam zip
The Weight
The Espresso's crepe was selected specifically for its weight. Heavier than standard crepe, it moves with authority — no light flutter, no drift. It is a fabric that has presence.
The Lining
A full charmeuse lining is cut to match every seam of the outer shell, ensuring the interior of the garment is as smooth as the exterior. The lining is slip-tacked to the shell at the seam allowances only.
The Closure
The back zip is set into a seam, faced and pressed flat, so that it reads as a continuation of the seam line rather than an insertion. From the outside, it is invisible.
- Dry clean recommended
- May be hand-washed in cold water with silk detergent
- Press on wool setting, wrong side, with a pressing cloth
