The Opening

Journal

There is a particular moment in any creative endeavour when the work becomes real — when it leaves the studio, crosses a threshold, and stands in front of people for the first time. That moment arrived for us this week.

We opened our first showroom: a bright, glass-roofed space dressed with gold balloons and the entire current collection, hanging on rails and standing on mannequins, finally together in the same room at the same time.

Seeing It All Together

In the atelier the pieces always exist in different states — one being finished, another being pressed, a third still waiting for its final hand-stitching. To see them all hanging together, each one complete, was a different kind of satisfaction entirely.

Dresses made one by one, with unhurried hands — suddenly they became a world.

The Details That Matter

Up close, the beading on the pale pleated gown is extraordinary — not because it is ostentatious, but because it is precise. Each bead placed with intention. Each small crystal sewn by hand onto chiffon so fine it moves with the breath of the room.

The embroidery on this piece alone took three days. Every bead placed by hand.

This is what we set out to do when we started Rabel — not just to make dresses, but to make things that reward looking closely. Things that get better the more attention you give them.

We are grateful for everyone who came, who touched the fabric, who tried something on and stood a little differently in it. It is for those moments that we do this work.
